About the role
- Serve as the primary project liaison on projects that do not require a Site Project Manager (SPM).
- Act as an on-site leader to plan, execute, and complete security installations or system upgrades.
- Lead system installation, programming, acceptance testing, and closeout.
- Oversee technicians in the assembly, fabrication, installation/termination of raceway, cabling, enclosure, Access Control System (ACS) panel, and door hardware.
- Ensure compliance of new installed, upgraded, or maintained systems with engineered drawings, design guidance, and manufacturer's specifications.
- Inspect and validate completed system functionality, troubleshoot problems, and resolve issues with access control equipment.
- Provide work direction to subcontractors, technicians, and administrators as necessary.
- Adhere to safety OSHA standards and requirements, maintaining accurate information for as-built documentation.
- Review scopes and existing conditions of sites to verify and document electrical, communication, and system requirements/deficiencies.
- Provide input for system Bill of Materials (BOMs), infrastructure requirements, and consumables needed for project fulfillment.
- Offer Tier 2 and Tier 3 Technical Support.
- Complete daily site reports, system verification, and testing documentation.
- Maintain onsite availability during working hours.
- Travel to various locations across the continental United States, including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico, as required.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
- 5 years of demonstrated experience in the design and implementation of security systems projects.
- At least one year in a project lead/management role.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Required: OEM Certification for Hirsch/Identiv.
- Preferred: OEM Certification of Lenel, Bosch, Pelco, Milestone, or Avigilon.
- Preferred: 10-hour OSHA certification.
- Preferred: Certified System Engineer ICAM PACS (CSEIP) certification.
- Ability to read, notate, and markup electrical and communication schematics and diagrams.
- Proficiency in wiring and configuring low-voltage systems.
- Working knowledge of HSPD-12, FIPS 201-2 NIST publication 800-16-3.
- Computer literacy; proficient in MS Office Suite and aptitude for learning specialized software programs.
- Ability to pass extensive background checks (criminal, drug, credit).
