About the role
- Develop and execute sustainable category sourcing strategies for the region/function
- Act as a champion for strategic sourcing
- Lead category management for key spend areas
- Ensure category strategies consider external market factors
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with senior business stakeholders
- Lead complex negotiations with suppliers
- Manage supplier contracts and conduct ongoing reviews
- Oversee supplier performance management across key categories
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory requirements
- Develop strategies to minimize supply chain risk
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the procurement function
- Provide regular updates on procurement performance to senior leadership
Requirements
- Degree in related field – supply chain, business, engineering or science
- Minimum 10+ years in procurement
- CIPS Procurement management in a manufacturing or FMCG environment
- Stakeholder satisfaction
- Supplier management and improvement programs
- Implementation and change management of national contracts and programs
- Management and use of Procurement systems
