About the role

  • Enhance monitoring across technologies including operating systems, networking, hardware, databases, virtualization, cloud services, and applications
  • Work closely with users to incorporate their domain knowledge, ensuring we build monitoring that alerts before failures occur and provides useful out-of-the-box information
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure successful delivery of product features and releases
  • Dive deep into Checkmk to jointly handle third-level support tickets with our developers, guiding them when product decisions are required
  • Act as the product subject-matter expert, providing guidance and support to internal teams including Sales and Marketing
  • Stay current with industry developments, emerging cloud technologies, and other IT infrastructure topics

Requirements

  • Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure, data centers, and cloud services; previous experience with monitoring and observability software is a plus
  • Proven track record as a Product Manager/Owner, Systems Engineer, or similar role within an agile software development environment
  • Curious, detective-like approach to analyzing product issues and investigating unfamiliar areas of the product
  • Willingness to 'get your hands dirty': you enjoy experimenting with complex features until you fully understand them
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable concepts and user stories
  • User-centered mindset with demonstrated ability to identify and validate needs and pain points through direct collaboration with users
  • Results-oriented with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products on schedule
  • Excellent English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively and influence cross-functional teams
