About the role

  • Experimenting with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and other advanced approaches to improve matching, ranking and recommendations
  • Building, testing and deploying production-ready models – from forecasting and NLP to classification and MMM – that power our core marketplace systems
  • Working closely with Engineering, Product, Analytics and BI to ensure models are scalable, observable and delivering measurable impact
  • Embedding AI and data science into everyday workflows so intelligence shapes every customer and trade experience
  • Helping define how we responsibly experiment, evaluate and ship ethical AI through our internal AI playbook

Requirements

  • Strong applied experience with SQL, Python, and modern ML frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow and Hugging Face
  • A proven track record of building and deploying production-grade machine learning models
  • Comfort moving between rapid experimentation and rigorous model evaluation
  • A pragmatic mindset – knowing when to fine-tune, when to use off-the-shelf models, and when simple beats complex
  • Curiosity, creativity and a genuine drive to turn data into tangible, measurable impact
