Vice President

• Setting and owning the multi-year product vision and roadmap — translating Checkatrade’s growth ambitions into a clear, prioritised strategy that the whole business can get behind.
• Leading, coaching and growing all Product Managers across the business — building a culture of ownership, curiosity, and pace, and creating the conditions for PMs to do their best work.
• Driving rigorous prioritisation and planning — balancing short-term commercial impact with long-term platform investment, and keeping the organisation moving at pace.
• Leading the integration of AI and machine learning across the product — from search and matching to personalisation and automation — identifying where these tools can genuinely unlock step-change improvements in experience and efficiency.
• Partnering closely with Marketing, Engineering, Design, Data, and Commercial teams to make sure product decisions are grounded in real user needs and real business outcomes.
• Representing the product function in board and investor conversations — communicating roadmap, progress, and trade-offs with clarity and confidence.

Growth Marketing

• Own the Trade Growth Funnel: meaning you’ll drive the full journey from sign-up to monetisation, which will increase both volume and quality of self-serve trade sign-ups.
• Lead Continuous Experimentation: meaning you’ll run a high-tempo experimentation programme across acquisition journeys, onboarding flows, freemium activation surfaces and in-product paywalls and conversion experiences
• Bring Marketing Thinking Into Product: meaning you’ll combine product thinking with genuine marketing instinct, including translating positioning and messaging into product experiences, improving landing pages, sign-up flows, nudges, and lifecycle touchpoints and partnering with Performance Marketing and CRM to optimise end-to-end conversion
• Be the Analytical Centre of Gravity: meaning you’ll own and evolve the funnel model that tracks every stage from impression to first paid action.
• Operate in an AI-Native Way: meaning we’re looking for someone who embraces AI tooling as part of how they work. You’ll use tools such as Claude Code and Claude Cowork to build lightweight tooling and prototypes, accelerate experimentation, automate recurring workflows and analysis and improve operational efficiency across the PLG funnel

• Leading and scaling high-performing Data Engineering teams, establishing the rhythms and discipline needed for elite delivery and accountability.
• Owning the data platform and architecture, ensuring our AWS-based foundations are robust, secure, and ready for the next stage of our growth.
• Building the foundations for AI in production, including reusable data products, reliable pipelines, and governed access patterns.

Senior Engineering Manager, Data Platform

SEO Marketing

• Owning SEO roadmaps across technical, on-page content, and off-site authority - turning strategy into shipped improvements that move the needle on organic growth.
• Shaping how Checkatrade shows up in AI-driven search environments - from Google AI Overviews to ChatGPT and Perplexity - building new GEO/AEO capabilities alongside the existing ones.
• Running structured experiments: forming hypotheses, testing, documenting outcomes, and sharing learnings with the team rather than moving straight to the next thing.
• Working closely with product and engineering to identify, prioritise, and implement technical SEO improvements - from crawl budget and Core Web Vitals to schema and indexation.
• Building with AI - using agentic workflows to automate content briefs, bulk analysis, reporting, and technical triage, and raising the bar for how we use AI across SEO and Marketing.
• Communicating performance clearly to senior stakeholders and cross-functional partners - translating what’s working (and what isn’t) into decisions that drive the business forward.

SEO Lead

• You will own the Mid-Market revenue target across both leads and non-leads segments, while building and maintaining 3–5× pipeline coverage with clear visibility and control.
• You will also run end-to-end sales cycles: discovery → demo → pilot → commercial close
• You will define and document the repeatable Mid-Market sales motion while testing and iterating on outbound sequences, messaging, and objection handling
• You will hire, onboard, and coach two Account Executives and define performance standards, ramp plans, and quota frameworks.
• You will also act as a player-coach — carrying a personal number while building the team and set the tone for a high-accountability, high-performance culture
• You will own pipeline reporting and forecasting, presenting weekly updates to leadership (TradeAI Steering Committee).
