About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Implement, manage, monitor, and evaluate assigned programs according to established standards
  • Oversee daily operations and ensure facilities are safe, functional, and in optimal condition
  • Ensure the wants, needs, preferences, and personal goals of supported persons are honored
  • Provide intervention and leadership during emergencies and hospitalizations
  • Support admissions, discharges, and transfers
  • Directly supervise and lead Lead DSPs and DSPs
  • Collaborate on recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, mentoring, and evaluating staff
  • Facilitate training and maintain required staff certifications
  • Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage
  • Provide coverage and support to other Program Managers
  • Manage conflict using person-centered coaching and professional problem-solving strategies
  • Foster leadership development
  • Provide guidance for person-centered services and individualized supports
  • Support employment, life goals, community involvement, relationships, and independence
  • Collaborate with Community Supports Leadership to develop diversified services
  • Participate in CSP and interdisciplinary team meetings
  • Monitor DSP documentation weekly for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Use designated electronic health record systems for documentation and communication
  • Compile and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and statistics
  • Assist with critical incident reports and ANE investigations
  • Participate in corrective action planning, audits, and licensing/compliance reviews
  • Assist with organizational policies and procedures
  • Maintain program and/or home budgets
  • Collaborate on technology use supporting skill development and independence
  • Coordinate and implement therapeutic and clinical recommendations
  • Maintain safety, licensing, and regulatory requirements
  • Initiate additional training through contracted or community supports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum age: 18
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Human Services, or AA with a minimum of 4-5 years’ experience in Human Services, or High School Diploma with a minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in Human Services
  • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
  • Valid driver’s license and Social Security number
  • Ability to type 70+ WPM and navigate basic computer systems
  • Must pass background checks, DMV screening, Medicaid exclusion, fingerprinting (if SC resident <1 year), and provide 3 professional references
  • Ability to regularly stand, walk, lift up to 25 lbs, and provide hands-on support
  • Travel within Spartanburg County
