About the role
- Designing and building the new Financial Performance function and team
- Designing and implementing a new accounting and FP&A system to provide the information required for decision making
- Running quarterly business review meetings for a performance assessment and new target setting
- Preparing monthly financial performance reports for the c-suite and board of directors as required
- Assisting Product and Marketing with investment case development and return on investment analysis
- Setting KPIs and targets by function, working with the c-suite and HR
- Annual budgets and quarterly re-forecasting where required
- Transforming Chaos Theory by helping drive a new phase of hyper-growth driven by exciting, aspirational and clear target setting, communication and performance reporting!
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Performance (Financial Planning and Analysis) functions
- Demonstrated leadership of that function - reporting to the CFO - in a tier 1 technology company which has been a hyper-growth player and / or world leader in its segment
- A preference for experience in the gaming or other industries which has large volumes of high frequency transaction level data
- A deep understanding of B2C technology based companies and the platform level data which is used to make decisions, particularly in respect of return on investment
- Energised by the opportunity to build a Financial Performance team from the ground-up including all of the supporting infrastructure to support the organizations performance
- Willingness to take the lead on a re-design of our accounting and reporting systems and design
- The ability to work collaboratively cross functionally, interact with and guide c-suite executives and closely align to Data & Analytics
- A strong analytical mindset with hands-on experience in modeling, backtesting, and strategy evaluation
- Bright, curious and have a love of learning from the bottom level of detail (at the accounting system level) to the top (presentation to c-suite executives)
- The ability to thrive in a high-autonomy environment, whether remote or in-office
- It’d be great, but not strictly necessary, if you also had:
- Accounting and accounting system implementation experience
- Experience in cryptocurrency and on-chain mechanics
- Experience working closely with Data & Analytics teams
