Manager, Talent Acquisition

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own the full recruitment journey for corporate and settlement roles developing sourcing strategies to reach diverse candidates across Canada while ensuring every candidate has a meaningful and respectful hiring experience
- Build connections with candidates through partner relationships, community networks, and targeted outreach.
- Manage Castlemain's referral program by tracking referrals and ensuring referred candidates receive a timely and respectful experience throughout the process
- Work hand in hand with hiring managers on role scoping, job descriptions, interview processes, and selection decisions, supporting them in evaluating candidates and providing guidance on compensation ranges to help them make well-informed hiring choices.
- Stay closely connected throughout the process, keeping managers informed and regularly checking in to ensure recruitment efforts reflect their most pressing priorities
- Bring a culturally safe and equitable lens to every stage of recruitment building relationships with Indigenous post-secondary institutions, community organizations, and partner networks to ensure job postings and selection processes are inclusive and welcoming
- Contribute to continuous improvement within the Talent Acquisition function including recruitment policies, procedures, and tools including interview guides, reference checks, and offer letter processes
- Coordinate background and reference checks in partnership with the People Team
- Track recruitment activity and provide regular updates on candidate status
Requirements
What you’ll need- five years' experience in recruitment in a high-volume environment
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent education
- Ability to manage multiple open roles simultaneously across different functions and regions
- A culturally safe, trauma-informed approach to candidate and stakeholder engagement
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills in English; French language skills are an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience recruiting within Indigenous, community-based organizations is a strong asset.
- Successful candidates will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.
