About the role
- Define and drive the product strategy for AI-powered biological workflows to enable in silico experimentation.
- Collaborate with scientific partners to deeply understand research needs and translate them into high-impact model applications, bridging the gap between cutting-edge AI research and its real-world application in biological discovery.
- Lead the development and deployment of workflows that bring cutting-edge models into biologists’ research practices.
- Partner with AI PMs, ML researchers, engineers, and designers to integrate models into intuitive, impactful tools.
- Help shape model roadmaps and value propositions by working closely with CZI’s ML researchers.
- Collate and translate the needs of the CZ Imaging research teams into a platform strategy.
- Serve as the voice of the biologist in product development, ensuring tools align with experimental research needs.
Requirements
- 12+ years of product management or related experience, with a strong background in genomics, imaging, immunology, or other relevant biological domains.
- Experience in computational biology and/or applying AI models for in silico workflows.
- Proven track record of partnering with scientists to develop domain-specific tools or platforms.
- Ability to translate complex biological research needs into product requirements and workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Excellent communication skills, able to bridge biology and technology for diverse audiences.
- Passion for CZI’s mission and a desire to drive scientific progress through technology.
- (nice to have) Experience working with cutting-edge biological imaging technology.
