About the role

  • Partner with business leaders to understand goals, define success metrics, and translate questions into analytical approaches.
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, drivers, and opportunities; synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Build and maintain reporting that enables leaders to monitor performance and make informed strategic and operational decisions.
  • Apply strong technical skills while exercising sound business judgment to prioritize the right questions and focus on impact.
  • Collaborate across Data & Analytics on data quality and best practices.
  • Stay current on modern analytics techniques, tools, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical field (e.g., economics, statistics, finance, or engineering).
  • 4+ years of experience in data-intensive, quantitative roles (e.g., analytics, finance, operations, product, or strategy).
  • Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with programming best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with visualization and data wrangling tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or Python).
  • Strong communication and data storytelling skills; able to present insights clearly and gain trust with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Curiosity and a continuous-improvement mindset, including interest in novel analytics techniques and technology.
  • Financial services industry experience required; mortgage industry experience preferred.
