About the role
- Manage and maintain network and storage systems
- Monitor network performance and data center infrastructure
- Plan and execute upgrades and migrations
- Collaborate with other IT teams to optimize system performance
- Install and configure servers
- Document network architecture and IT processes
- Perform regular backups and restoration tests
- Ensure physical security of the data center
- Manage the virtualization environment and infrastructure applications
- Plan and implement IT projects
- Evaluate and implement solutions in collaboration with business units
- Implement and manage security measures
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues at 2nd level support
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in network and data center administration
- Solid knowledge of networking technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
- In-depth knowledge of network architectures, server and storage systems (e.g., Cisco, VMware, Microsoft Server)
- Experience managing firewalls and security protocols
- Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking
- Team player with good communication skills
- Excellent German language skills, both written and spoken
