About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the day-to-day client relationship across brand and agency stakeholders
  • Build and maintain stakeholder maps and deliberately develop relationships
  • Monitor account performance and differences between client and internal perspectives
  • Create account growth plans containing the account thesis, stakeholder map, revenue ambition, and named actions
  • Identify, shape, and advance incremental budget and expansion opportunities with Sales
  • Turn successful campaigns into proof points and case studies
  • Challenge client requests when they do not serve the underlying business goal and recommend better approaches
  • Own the performance narrative, including pacing, optimization direction, post-campaign insights, and recommendations
  • Ensure campaigns launch on time by coordinating teammates and escalating launch risks or troubleshooting needs
  • Route client feedback, roadmap needs, and account blockers to Chalice
  • Set account direction autonomously and contribute to evolving account planning and closeout processes
  • Work with Sales, Technical Account Management, Solutions Architecture, Data Science, Product, and Engineering

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5–7 years in programmatic advertising, ad tech, or ad operations with a strong client-facing component, or equivalent scope
  • Experience owning a named book of strategic or enterprise accounts
  • Experience building relationships with senior client and agency stakeholders at director level and above
  • Experience redirecting briefs or advising clients against ineffective approaches
  • Experience identifying and shaping expansion opportunities
  • Experience running accounts proactively and setting the agenda
  • Strong working knowledge of DSPs, including The Trade Desk and DV360
  • Knowledge of social platforms, including Meta and TikTok
  • Knowledge of SSPs, DMPs, identity, measurement, auction dynamics, and the wider programmatic ecosystem
  • Comfortable with Excel, including pivot tables and lookups
  • Experience with SQL and BI tools such as Superset or Tableau
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in plain, actionable terms
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines
  • Experience using tools such as Jira
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, business, or a related field, or equivalent experience
