About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the technical strategy for scaling across multiple language ecosystems, including .NET, Go, and Rust
  • Drive end-to-end CVE remediation automation from detection through verified release
  • Set direction for agentic/AI-driven patch generation and safety guardrails
  • Set platform-wide technical direction across package indexing, build and packaging pipelines, registry mirrors, and orchestration tooling
  • Make build-versus-buy and sequencing decisions for onboarding new ecosystems
  • Partner with Ecosystem, Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams on the platform roadmap
  • Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and lead architectural design reviews
  • Write documentation and RFCs to guide other teams
  • Define SLOs and lead incident response and postmortems
  • Investigate toolchain, compiler, and dependency-resolution issues affecting pipeline reliability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 12+ years designing, building, and operating infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms
  • Demonstrated Principal-level scope setting technical direction across multiple teams
  • Direct experience standing up or significantly extending support for a language ecosystem
  • Ideally experience with .NET/NuGet, Go/modules, or Rust/Cargo
  • Strong proficiency in Go
  • Track record of automating manual remediation workflows reliably
  • Deep experience with CI/CD, agentic pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and infrastructure as code
  • Experience with Docker/OCI, Kubernetes, Terraform, and pipeline tooling such as GitHub Actions, Argo, Tekton, or equivalents
  • Experience running infrastructure at scale across heterogeneous ecosystems
  • Ability to diagnose and resolve toolchain, compiler, and packaging failures across multiple ecosystems
  • Excellent written communication in a remote, distributed environment
  • Principal ownership mindset and ability to make ecosystem-generalization decisions with incomplete information
  • Nice-to-have: SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, attestations, secure-by-default packaging
  • Nice-to-have: Linux distributions, packaging, and reproducible build systems including Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, CMake, or Ninja
  • Nice-to-have: AI/ML packaging and infrastructure, including PyTorch and TensorFlow, in cloud/Kubernetes environments
