About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design, scope, and help build technical integrations between Chainguard and technology alliance partners, including cloud marketplaces, CI/CD platforms, container registries, IDEs, and security or observability tooling.
- Partner with Chainguard product and engineering teams to prioritize and deliver partner-facing APIs, plugins, and joint tooling.
- Design reference architectures and solution patterns showing how Chainguard fits end-to-end into partner platforms.
- Build demos, sandboxes, and proof-of-concepts for partner and Chainguard sales teams.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for named technology alliance partners.
- Align with partner engineering and product leadership on roadmaps, integration priorities, and technical dependencies.
- Represent Chainguard in joint architecture reviews.
- Create architecture documentation, playbooks, and workshops for partner SEs and Chainguard field teams.
- Run joint webinars, workshops, and technical briefings.
- Manage technical requirements for AWS, Azure, and GCP marketplace listings and co-sell programs.
- Support technical validation in partner-sourced and partner-influenced deals.
- Feed partner integration requirements, technical blockers, and roadmap requests back to product and engineering.
- Broadcast partner progress to field teams.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 5+ years in Solutions Engineering, Partner/Technical Alliances, Sales Engineering, or a related technical partnerships role.
- Experience building or supporting technical integrations with technology partners, including APIs, SDKs, plugins, or marketplace listings.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and container/Kubernetes ecosystems.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps, CI/CD, cloud-native technology, and software supply chain security.
- Hands-on experience with artifact repository managers such as JFrog Artifactory, Cloudsmith, or Sonatype Nexus.
- Comfort operating as a technical bridge between two engineering organizations.
- Ability to communicate complex technical topics to engineers and business stakeholders.
- Ability to travel as needed for partner engineering summits, conferences, and QBRs.
- Nice-to-have qualifications include technology alliances, ISV partnerships, or partner engineering experience; cloud marketplace listing experience; technical evangelism and storytelling; emotional intelligence and relationship-building; and open-source or cloud-native community involvement.
