About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Drive the strategy, roadmap and—most importantly—ship great products that streamline how developers adopt and build on the Chainguard platform.
  • Build a developer-first platform that supports integrations and partner growth.
  • Lead projects from ideation through launch and beyond, iteratively unlocking new customers and improving the product while overseeing maintenance and support.
  • Gather and respond to quantitative and qualitative data and feedback, measuring the effectiveness of your team’s efforts and changing direction when required.
  • Work collaboratively with Engineering, Partnerships, Product Marketing, UX, and other cross-functional teams, ensuring that our product can be easily adopted by developers and security practitioners alike. Navigate cross-functional environments with clarity and influence.
  • Represent Chainguard externally wherever needed, including meetings with customers and prospects, partners, and industry analysts.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience recruiting, leading, and growing teams of Product Managers. You should be able to attract and retain exceptional talent. Teams are measured by the sum of their output, and you will need help to achieve your goals.
  • Technical depth is a must, as you’ll need to quickly establish credibility with developers and speak their language. Either prior experience as a developer, or proven success working in systems, networks, or an adjacent highly technical area.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record engaging deeply with customers and owning outcomes with hands-on execution and delivery.
  • Ability to take ownership and move quickly, even in ambiguity.
  • Ability to prioritize ruthlessly and focus on what matters most.
