About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and manage complex procurement activities across IT sub-categories including Hardware, Software, SaaS, Network, Telecom, and Colocation services
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to deliver value through cost optimization, commercial excellence, risk management, and innovative sourcing strategies
- Act as the subject matter expert for IT procurement sub-categories, ensuring effective supplier relationship management for strategic and preferred suppliers
- Conduct spend, contract, and market analyses to identify savings opportunities, efficiencies, and sourcing risks
- Develop and implement category strategies and sourcing roadmaps aligned with regional and global business requirements
- Lead commercial negotiations with suppliers to secure optimal contractual, financial, and operational outcomes
- Manage relationships with major IT vendors and service providers
- Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Design and execute sourcing events, including RFI, RFP, RFQ, and competitive tender processes
- Track, measure, and report sourcing outcomes and savings achievements
- Proactively foster effective collaboration and strong communication with key client stakeholders to deliver defined business goals.
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Law, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of sourcing, procurement, or category management experience, preferably within IT procurement
- Strong knowledge of one or more IT procurement categories, including Hardware, Software, SaaS, Cloud, Datacenter, Network, Telecom, and Managed Services
- Solid understanding of software licensing models, subscription-based services, cloud consumption models, and IT service agreements
- Demonstrated experience leading complex negotiations and managing commercial contracts with technology suppliers
- Experience working with major global IT vendors such as IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, Cisco, Wipro, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar providers
- Proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple sourcing initiatives concurrently
- Hands-on experience conducting RFI, RFP, and RFQ processes and evaluating supplier proposals
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional and international teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Professional sourcing or procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, PMP) are advantageous
- Excellent written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus.
