About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage venue selection and negotiate detailed service contracts for off-site events
  • Contract and coordinate with caterers, entertainment, audio-visual providers, and other event vendors
  • Create and adhere to event budgets, manage expenses, track costs, and report expected, ongoing, and final spend
  • Lead cross-functional teams to execute event plans
  • Communicate with employees, attendees, vendors, and partners
  • Address issues and challenges during event planning or execution
  • Manage event platforms, software, and tools, including the ONE Conference VFairs app and Monday.com
  • Assist with logistics for large national-level tradeshows
  • Hire, train, and manage event staff as needed
  • Supervise event setup, execution, and breakdown
  • Gather feedback, analyze event results, and provide reports

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3 or more years of corporate event management experience, ideally in a B2B setting
  • Project management and budgeting experience required
  • Organization and time management skills, including maintaining timelines, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills and proficiency with other required tools and software
  • Understanding of audio-visual and event production
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills for event planning and execution
  • Experience creating and managing event budgets and tracking expenses
  • Vendor negotiation skills
  • Leadership skills for leading and motivating event staff
  • Creativity in developing event themes and ideas
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Trade show event coordination and execution experience, including setup and breakdown
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with periodic weekend work
  • Ability to travel 1–2 trips per month, typically 3–4 days per trip
