About the role
- Design Cloud Infrastructure: Design highly scalable, fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our growing platform.
- Develop architecture blueprints and roadmaps for cloud services and components.
- Implement Cloud Solutions: Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure projects, including provisioning, configuration, and optimization of cloud resources.
- Ensure adherence to best practices for security, performance, and cost optimization.
- Manage Cloud Platforms: Oversee the day-to-day operations of our cloud platforms, ensuring reliability, availability, and performance. Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.
- Lead Cloud Engineering Team: Mentor and guide a team of cloud engineers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support career development.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with software engineering, DevOps, and product teams to integrate cloud infrastructure requirements into development processes.
- Collaborate on the design and implementation of scalable, microservices-based architectures.
- Evaluate and Adopt New Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging cloud technologies and industry trends. Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance our cloud infrastructure and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance controls to protect sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field years of experience in designing, building, and managing cloud infrastructure at scale.
- 5+ years of deep expertise in cloud platform AWS.
- Proven experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect are a plus
- Demonstrated use of utilizing AI tools in daily work activities to accelerate tasks, documents, summaries, and other manual steps.
- Demonstrated ability to understand AI-based systems and support other teams developing these tools.
- Demonstrated ability to implement systems or sub-systems that use AI to simplify or accelerate cloud infrastructure management.
