About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Compensation and Benchmarking within BambooHR.
  • Build intuitive workflows for compensation planning, pay changes, approvals, pay ranges, and compensation review cycles.
  • Create benchmarking experiences that help customers match roles, understand market pay, and make informed compensation decisions.
  • Connect compensation workflows to core HRIS data and lifecycle moments, including employee records, job and level changes, location data, manager relationships, and other people workflows.
  • Strengthen data, permissions, and reporting foundations by improving visibility into pay positioning, benchmark coverage, compensation changes, approval history, and auditability while protecting sensitive information.
  • Partner with Engineering and Product Design to turn customer needs into clear requirements, prioritize tradeoffs, and deliver high-impact solutions.
  • Use data, research, and experimentation to improve product adoption, administrative efficiency, decision confidence, and customer value.
  • Apply AI thoughtfully to reduce administrative effort, improve matching and insights, and surface relevant compensation context where it adds real value.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of PM experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, HR tech, compensation, benchmarking, workforce planning, analytics, finance, or other data-rich workflow software.
  • Domain fluency in compensation, HR, finance, workforce planning, or other operational workflows. You understand customer problems around pay ranges, market benchmarking, compensation planning, approvals, and reporting.
  • Experience balancing administrator, manager, and leadership experiences. You can build powerful configuration, planning, and reporting tools while also giving decision-makers the context they need.
  • Strong product craft in systems-rich environments. You’re comfortable with data models, permissions, workflow automation, reporting, and integrations.
  • Experience working with sensitive data and designing trustworthy, permission-aware experiences.
  • AI as a practical tool. You use AI to accelerate your own work and think thoughtfully about where AI can create better product experiences.
  • Analytical and customer-centered. You use data, research, and experimentation to prioritize opportunities and measure outcomes.
  • Entrepreneurial drive. You create clarity, move through ambiguity, and lead well across functions.
