About the role

  • Utah-based hybrid role requiring some regular in-office days each week
  • Lead a team of engineers and architects on a high-performing Payroll Platform team
  • Develop and deliver architecture and technical platform solutions for scaling, stability, and high performance
  • Enable internal Payroll Services teams responsible for money movement, tax payment, and filing workflows
  • Work closely with engineering leads and architects to design secure, compliant platform solutions
  • Research and interact with customers and internal stakeholders to understand Payroll domain challenges
  • Define internal customers' challenges and prioritize improvement opportunities
  • Build trust and alignment with business stakeholders around strategy, roadmap, and execution
  • Deliver high-value solutions to improve user behavior and outcomes for internal payroll services teams
  • Manage the product roadmap and prioritize impactful projects
  • Translate technical requirements into actionable specifications for engineering teams
  • Scope solutions for early customer deployment and measure effectiveness
  • Own and maintain product quality and inspire the team to achieve excellence

Requirements

  • Utah-based hybrid position; employment contingent on passing a background and credit check
  • 4+ years experience as a product manager, with a proven track record of shipping impactful products
  • Strong technical affinity; comfortable working with platform design and architecture
  • Experience as a product manager in Payroll, Fintech, Accounting, Payroll Tax, or Payments (Federal and State Tax experience a plus)
  • Expertise in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience leading product discovery and delivery
  • Demonstrable experience leading a team
  • Ability to clearly communicate product decisions and make decisions without consensus
  • Deep experience working with qualitative customer insights and quantitative customer data
  • Entrepreneurial, self-driven, organized, and able to switch between creative and analytical thinking
  • Curious about AI and its application to product and workflows
