About the role
- Provide database administration support for legal accounts
- Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 including security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, SQL reports, and maintenance jobs
- Optimize database performance and apply best practices
- Create and maintain databases in a clustered server environment
- Design, develop and maintain data models and integrate solutions within legacy infrastructure
- Apply data lake, data warehouse and data mart architectures and metadata/data modeling practices
- Implement mirroring, log shipping, redundancy, high availability, and backup and recovery strategies
- Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Upgrade SQL Server instances to version 2019+ and develop SSRS reports
- Setup reporting servers and lead DBA functions and report development utilizing software systems architecture and design
Requirements
- Top Secret Clearance Required
- Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022
- Setting up security, creating tables, indexes, stored procedures
- Designing SQL reports and creating maintenance jobs
- Apply best practices for optimizing databases
- Create and maintain databases in a Clustered Server environment
- Expert knowledge of design, development and maintenance of various data models
- Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures
- Experience with metadata and data modeling, data flow, entity relationship diagrams, schema architectures and query languages
- Implement database mirroring, log shipping, redundancy and high availability
- Full backup and recovery capabilities for Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience facilitating migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
- Upgrade SQL Servers from lower versions to SQL Server 2019 and up
- Create reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Setup reporting server and perform all DBA functions and report development
- Experience with Software Systems development Architecture and Design
