About the role

  • Provide database administration support for legal accounts including security, schema, stored procedures, and maintenance jobs
  • Manage Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 instances and apply best practices for performance optimization
  • Create and maintain databases in clustered server environments and design/maintain data models
  • Integrate data lakes, data warehouses, and data marts with legacy infrastructure using metadata and data modeling
  • Implement redundancy, high availability, backup, and recovery strategies (mirroring, log shipping)
  • Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure and upgrade SQL Server versions
  • Develop reports and reporting servers using SSRS and handle report development within software systems architecture

Requirements

  • Provide database administration support including setup, security, and maintenance activities
  • Assist in managing Microsoft SQL Server 2019 and 2022 (security, tables, indexes, stored procedures, maintenance jobs)
  • Apply best practices for optimizing databases
  • Create and maintain databases in a Clustered Server environment
  • Expert knowledge of design, development and maintenance of various data models and their components
  • Working knowledge of data lakes, data warehouse and data mart architectures, metadata and data modeling, data flow, ER diagrams, schema architectures and query languages
  • Implement database redundancy and high availability (mirroring, log shipping) and full backup and recovery for SQL Server 2019/2022
  • Facilitate migration of systems into cloud infrastructure
  • Upgrade SQL Servers from lower versions to 2019+ and create reports using Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
  • Setup a reporting server and be responsible for all DBA functions and report development
  • Top Secret security clearance required
