About the role
- Provide full-time IT legal support services to support a large federal agency
- Independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs to support litigation environment applications, including litigation support databases, associated management systems, and analytical systems
- Translate program requirements into program code
- Test, debug, and refine programs to process data in accordance with written specifications
- Revise programs to increase efficiency and reduce operating time
- Develop data entry screens and other user interfaces and implement standardized reports
- Create and generate specialized and ad hoc reports as required
- Collaborate with stakeholders and contribute to government innovation
Requirements
- Must be a United States Citizen
- Substantial, hands-on programming experience in the systems environment being used
- At least two years of directly applicable experience
- At least three years of overall programming experience, including experience with large-scale database management systems
- Requires excellent oral and written communication skills
- Undergraduate degree strongly preferred - preferably in computer science or information management/technology disciplines
- Broad knowledge of the Government's IT environments, including office automation networks, and PC and server-based databases and applications (ideal)
- Supervisory or team leader experience (ideal)
- Experience in automated litigation support (ideal)
- Ability to independently develop, modify, and maintain complex programs
- Ability to translate program requirements into program code
- Experience testing, debugging, and refining programs
- Experience developing data entry screens, user interfaces, and generating specialized and ad hoc reports
