Support migration from Oracle to Microsoft Azure Postgres and manage database environments proactively
Ensure scalability, availability, and performance of databases supporting federal data analytics and BI platforms
Create and maintain technical documentation using defined templates and gain in-depth business data knowledge
Collaborate with internal and external parties to translate technical objectives into comprehensive requirements
Perform and assist developers in performance tuning and monitoring
Proactively monitor systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime; handle rollouts, patching, and upgrades
Work within a structured Agile development approach

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
Must be US Citizenship
7 years of experience with administrating PostgreSQL Databases in Linux environments
Experience with setting up, monitoring, and maintaining PostgreSQL instances
Experience with implementing and maintaining PostgreSQL backup and disaster recovery processes
Experience migrating Oracle schema, packages, views, triggers to Postgres using Ora2Pg tool
Experience implementing and maintaining data warehouses (preferred)
Experience with AWS RDS for PostgreSQL (preferred)
Experience with Oracle databases (preferred)
Experience leveraging the Ora2Pg tool (preferred)
Experience with working in cloud environments such as Azure and/or AWS (preferred)
Prior federal consulting experience (preferred)
