About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide basic care to patients under the direct supervision of the office physician
  • Adhere to Medical Center policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care
  • Maintain patient records and document medical and nursing care in computer systems
  • Intake patient histories and chief complaints and prepare patients for examination
  • Assist Ophthalmology Technicians in preparing patients for procedures
  • Prepare equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing
  • Apply proper sterile/aseptic technique when assisting in applicable departments
  • Support an environment conducive to professional practice
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • H.S. Diploma required
  • Must have JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification within 18 months of hire date
  • Monday–Friday, day shift
  • 36 scheduled weekly hours
