About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide basic care to patients under the direct supervision of the office physician
- Adhere to Medical Center policies and procedures to ensure optimal patient care
- Maintain patient records and document medical and nursing care in computer systems
- Intake patient histories and chief complaints and prepare patients for examination
- Assist Ophthalmology Technicians in preparing patients for procedures
- Prepare equipment and aid providers during treatment, examination, and testing
- Apply proper sterile/aseptic technique when assisting in applicable departments
- Support an environment conducive to professional practice
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
What you’ll need- H.S. Diploma required
- Must have JCAHPO Certified Ophthalmic Assistant certification within 18 months of hire date
- Monday–Friday, day shift
- 36 scheduled weekly hours
