Senior Manager, Accounting and Actuarial Advisory

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Interact with clients’ executive teams and auditors, acting as a subject-matter expert and leading clients through complex accounting issues to reach clear conclusions.
- Lead client engagements and own delivery of operational due diligence for complex transactions (e.g., IPOs, acquisitions and divestitures, equity offerings, debt financings).
- Oversee preparation and delivery of financial and regulatory information in accordance with IFRS and the regulatory requirements of French and EU markets (e.g., AMF filings, ESEF compliance, EU financial disclosure).
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on projects related to new IFRS standards and other European accounting regulations.
- Lead process improvement initiatives and the implementation of accounting and reporting changes.
- Mentor managers and consultants, model ethical behavior, foster professional growth, and provide constructive, actionable feedback.
- Lead firm initiatives and identify opportunities for operational and service improvements.
- Play an active role in the firm’s recruiting activities, client relationship building, and business development efforts.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master’s degree with a concentration in Accounting. A French accounting designation (e.g., DEC, DSCG) or a CPA and/or MBA (or equivalent from a Grande École de Commerce or d’Ingénieurs) is highly preferred.
- At least eight years of experience in public accounting or corporate accounting/finance.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and French GAAP; familiarity with U.S. GAAP is a plus. Experience with public company reporting is preferred.
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to integrate seamlessly into teams and engage effectively with clients and auditors.
- Proven ability to identify client needs and deliver practical solutions, building strong and trusted client relationships.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to lead client engagements and drive successful outcomes.
- Highly organized, focused, and able to set clear expectations and direction for your team.
