About the role

  • Reporting to the National Manager – Casualty; support the underwriting team and service brokers for the Casualty portfolio
  • Assist with renewals, new business, and policy documentation
  • Prepare pre-renewal and underwriting quotes; support preparation of quote documentation, proposals, and renewal presentations
  • Process policy endorsements and manage cancellations
  • Maintain shared inbox and accurate records across systems; escalate queries as needed
  • Assist underwriters with administrative and pre-underwriting tasks
  • Strengthen broker relationships through timely and professional communication
  • Contribute to process improvement and development of underwriting expertise

Requirements

  • Completion of secondary education
  • 1-2 years’ experience within an insurance, underwriting or broker context and an understanding of the Australian insurance market is highly regarded
  • Experience working in a busy, high-volume administrative or operational role
  • Positive, professional, can-do attitude with a strong sense of accountability
  • Excellent customer service skills, including written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to calmly navigate competing priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT systems
  • Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident to apply
