About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Support the team, Lead Designer, and Project Managers by developing design layouts and frameworks, including drawings and specifications
Provide oversight and guidance to Junior Designers and Interns
Create efficient space layouts maximizing functionality, comfort, and accessibility
Produce design concepts, mood boards, and client presentations
Develop drawings, renderings, and images for presentations, coordination, and construction phases
Collaborate with developers, architects, and clients on project objectives, budgets, and design preferences
Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, accessibility standards, and ADA requirements
Select and specify materials, finishes, fixtures, and furnishings
Manage Construction Administration tasks, including reviewing submittals, responding to RFIs, tracking finish samples, and participating in punch list walkthroughs
Support management of multiple projects by maintaining deadlines and fostering collaboration

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or related field
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in an interior design firm
Ideally, experience supporting large-scale multifamily residential, adaptive reuse, and hospitality projects
Strong understanding of design principles, aesthetics, and industry-relevant technical knowledge
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Commitment to active participation in studio culture and collaborative teamwork
Intermediate use of Revit, SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, AutoCAD, and BIM environments
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
Intermediate Enscape rendering experience
Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Excel, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint
Experience with collaborative tools such as Miro and other online whiteboarding platforms
