About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Serve as lead advisor and primary relationship manager for high-value and complex client relationships
- Deliver advanced financial planning across retirement, investments, tax-aware strategies, insurance, and estate considerations
- Understand client goals, priorities, and financial circumstances to provide personalized planning guidance
- Anticipate client needs and provide strategic guidance during life events, market transitions, and changing financial situations
- Conduct client review meetings and update plans to keep them aligned with objectives and long-term goals
- Maintain proactive engagement, responsiveness, professionalism, and client service across assigned relationships
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans using approved planning tools and firm resources
- Address complex planning needs including retirement income, charitable giving, RMDs, and multigenerational planning
- Review portfolio activity, financial plans, and client circumstances to identify risks and opportunities
- Generate new client opportunities through referrals, centers of influence, networking, and community engagement
- Convert prospective clients into long-term relationships
- Support asset growth through retention, asset consolidation, and net new asset acquisition
- Mentor and support less-experienced advisors
- Collaborate with client service, tax, investment, trading, and operations teams
- Lead client review preparation, execution, follow-up, and ongoing service requests
- Coordinate account opening, documentation, and complex service requests
- Maintain accurate CRM documentation, including notes, tasks, opportunities, and lead status
- Follow firm workflows, service standards, operational procedures, policies, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain current knowledge of market trends, financial planning strategies, and industry regulations
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, continuous learning, operational discipline, and compliance
Requirements
What you’ll need- Advanced knowledge of financial planning, investment, and wealth management strategies
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements, firm policies, and compliance standards
- Strong leadership, influence, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage complex client scenarios, competing priorities, and sensitive client situations with professionalism and sound judgment
- Proficiency with financial planning tools, CRM systems, and business applications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate in a team-based service model and support advisor mentorship
- CFP® certification required
- Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field or equivalent
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in wealth management or financial advisory roles
- FINRA Series 7 and 66, or Series 65/63 combination, if dual registered
- Series 65 for RIA-only registration
- Insurance licenses (Life, Health, Long-Term Care), as applicable but preferred
- Experience with high-net-worth and complex client relationships
- Demonstrated success in business development, client retention, and asset growth
- Existing professional referral relationships and centers of influence
- Advanced tax-aware, retirement, estate, and multigenerational planning experience
- Experience mentoring or supporting less-experienced advisors
- Travel up to 50% when located outside the market, or up to 25% when located inside the market

Comp & perks- Total annual target compensation of up to approximately $300,000, including base salary draw and variable target-based incentives if conditions are achieved
