About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide tax structuring advice and undertake tax due diligence on buy-side and sell-side transactions
  • Advise private equity and corporate clients, with potential involvement in AIM and London Stock Exchange Main Market transactions
  • Lead client and legal-adviser discussions and present findings
  • Manage relationships with target management teams
  • Work alongside FDD and SPA Advisory teams
  • Lead due diligence meetings and oversee analysis
  • Review due diligence reports before partner/director final review
  • Prepare and review structuring reports considering tax implications and commercial requirements
  • Review forecast models, funds flows, and legal documentation
  • Build internal networks across TAS, Corporate Finance, and international member firms
  • Develop relationships with private equity funds, corporate clients, law firms, and intermediaries
  • Research and prepare proposals and participate in prospective-client presentations
  • Manage project budgets, billing, fee collection, and debtors
  • Produce supported technical tax research
  • Lead ongoing training and development of the team

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified chartered accountant or tax adviser (ACA, CA, CTA, ADIT or equivalent as a minimum criteria)
  • Good grounding in UK tax practices
  • UK corporation tax compliance and/or M&A experience
  • Exposure to transfer pricing, R&D, VAT, employment taxes, stamp duty, and share transactions/share option schemes
  • Proven experience in client handling and project management
  • Experience building and sustaining relationships
  • Experience advising on technical tax matters
  • Demonstrable experience managing multiple deliverables, prioritising, and meeting deadlines
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to work with legislation, tax-authority guidance, and technical resources
  • Ability to work flexibly, including reduced hours or job shares
