About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Shape strategic direction by partnering with the leadership team to understand business priorities, operating models, and growth objectives
- Drive business growth through origination and conversion of high-value opportunities
- Develop outsourcing propositions and lead proposal strategies
- Represent the firm at external and internal forums, client events, intermediary events, and industry events
- Build senior networks across the firm to unlock cross-service opportunities
- Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with corporates across sectors
- Own key account strategies and monitor growth plans for priority clients and targets
- Oversee market engagement campaigns and outreach strategies
- Manage post-event actions to convert opportunities
- Manage the team and maintain appropriate capability and capacity for client requirements
- Develop relationships with Grant Thornton India colleagues, including potential overseas travel
- Shape thought leadership and sector positioning
- Direct pipeline development, maintain a robust order book, and ensure accurate forecasting
- Oversee creation and refresh of sector credentials, pitch templates, and case studies
- Champion digital and social presence through sector-related content and engagement
- Share insights, best practices, and market intelligence across the BD, Markets & Clients community
Requirements
What you’ll need- Experience of successful sales and business development supporting business growth
- Prior sales experience of business process outsourcing solutions is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills to manage client and delivery team relationships
- Ability to work with global and cross-cultural teams
- Flexibility to travel to other offices within and outside the UK
- Strong commercial awareness
- Ability to engage with and influence senior-level decision makers
- Ability to identify new business opportunities with new prospects and existing clients
- Strong organisational and IT skills
- Experience with technology and CRM tools such as Dynamics
- Proactive, can-do attitude
- Professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CA, or CIPFA is desirable
- Outsourcing delivery experience is desirable
