About the role
- Own and drive the overall QA strategy and process across the engineering organization
- Lead and mentor a small QA team, fostering best practices and continuous improvement
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for UI, API, and backend testing
- Balance manual and automated testing to ensure efficient coverage
- Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines and partner with DevOps for scalability
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to define test plans, acceptance criteria, and release readiness
- Track and report on quality metrics, test coverage, and defect trends
Requirements
- 7+ years of QA experience
- 3+ years of leadership experience
- Proven experience implementing automation frameworks and expanding automation coverage
- Strong proficiency in modern automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright)
- Hands-on experience testing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and integrating automation into CI/CD workflows
- Familiar with relational databases (Postgres, MySQL)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and initiative are essential
