CHP Service Engineer, Grade 3
CentricaCombined Heat and Power Engineer providing services and maintenance across various sites like universities and hospitals. Daily tasks include troubleshooting, repairs, and managing inventory in the United Kingdom.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Receive your jobs via email each morning
- Attend services, breakdowns, part replacement or engine rebuilds
- Manage your own diary, including oil store drops, collections, and part pickups from your designated collection box
- Operate, monitor, and maintain utilities including HVAC, WFI, purified water, and process equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems in line with SOPs and safety policies
- Maintain and secure spare parts inventory and recommend tools/equipment to improve efficiency
- Support engineers in developing methods to improve facilities processes
Requirements
What you’ll need- Mechanical craft qualification or higher (C&G, NVQ, ONC, HNC)
- Experience in field service roles on reciprocating engines or generators
- Ability to strip and repair engines to component level
- Knowledge of rotating equipment
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Good IT skills
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Excellent housekeeping standards
