About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Managing the delivery of open-source research projects.
  • Ensuring the right processes and resources are in place to deliver efficiently.
  • Overseeing project delivery alongside the project technical lead and relevant CIR Director.
  • Developing research plans and defining deliverables.
  • Establishing project management arrangements and quality assurance procedures.
  • Tracking project progress and resolving issues impeding delivery.
  • Building relationships with CIR colleagues, consultants, and partner organisations.
  • Working with open-source investigators and remote sensing experts.
  • Measuring and recording project activities and impact.
  • Developing financial forecasts and overseeing expenditures.
  • Ensuring compliance with CIR’s corporate policies relating to data protection, cyber security, and anti-corruption.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering projects to deadline, within budget and with evidenced measurable impact.
  • Substantial experience of implementing projects funded by the UK government and knowledge of associated policies, regulations and operating procedures.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, financial management, impact reporting and risk mitigation.
  • Managing and motivating interdisciplinary and multi-national teams.
  • Building strong relationships with diverse stakeholders including donors, beneficiaries and partner organisations.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Please note that one of these roles requires UK Security Check (SC) clearance. When applying, please indicate whether you currently hold SC clearance or are eligible to obtain it.
  • Desirable Experience:
  • A proven track record of successfully delivering research, capacity building or communications projects.
  • Experience of safeguarding investigators and ensuring data security during sensitive research will be advantageous.
