About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Supervise daily real estate department operations for a portfolio of owned and leased properties.
  • Ensure building operations, maintenance activities, and vendor services meet contractual, regulatory, and organizational standards.
  • Supervise, train, and support real estate department staff.
  • Review and approve service charges for accuracy and adherence to contract terms.
  • Assist with development and monitoring of operating budgets and expense forecasts.
  • Track operating costs and recommend opportunities for efficiency and cost savings.
  • Oversee lease administration activities, including compliance with landlord and tenant obligations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation within real estate and property management systems.
  • Prepare reports and operational metrics for management review.
  • Support inspections, life‑safety compliance, and regulatory audits.
  • Participate in special projects related to acquisitions, dispositions, renovations, and portfolio optimization.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in real estate, Business Administration, Facilities Management, or a related field, or Equivalent Professional Experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in real estate department operations, property management, or facilities management.
  • At least 2 years of supervisory or team‑lead experience.
  • Working knowledge of commercial real estate operations and lease requirements.
  • Proficiency with property management, Computer-Aided Facility Management, Integrated Workplace Management System or property management/lease administration systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in healthcare, institutional, or large corporate real estate environments.
  • Familiarity with systems such as Axxerion, Propertyware, Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms.
  • Experience supporting multi‑site or geographically dispersed portfolios.
