About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries, supporting schedules, and financial reconciliations
  • Prepare, review, and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy and completeness
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, and internal reporting packages
  • Perform variance analysis by comparing financial results to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods, identifying trends and providing recommendations
  • Support revenue recognition processes in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Perform daily cash management activities, including bank reconciliations and cash reporting
  • Assist with the preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and responses to external audit requests
  • Support annual tax reporting requirements by gathering, organizing, and validating financial data
  • Assist in maintaining and strengthening internal controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and support accounting system enhancements that improve efficiency and reporting accuracy
  • Collaborate with Finance, Operations, Payroll, and other departments to resolve accounting issues and support organizational initiatives
  • Maintain accurate financial records while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting best practices
  • Perform additional accounting and finance-related duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
  • Two to three years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and variance analysis
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with accounting and financial systems
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA industry experience preferred
  • CPA or CPA candidate preferred but not required.
