About the role
- Provide, under the general direction of the Therapist in Charge or Assistant Director of Respiratory Care, all routine and emergency respiratory care in all patient care areas.
- Provide clinical direction for respiratory care trainees and technicians.
- Provide consultation and education to other healthcare professionals.
- Routine contact with patients during hands-on care and frequent contact with patients’ families.
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other hospital staff.
Requirements
- Graduated a COAARC Approved Respiratory Care Program
- DE State License required
- NBRC-RRT required
- BLS-HCP required
- AARC membership required
- PALS within 90 days of hire required
- Preferred: NRP, NBRC-NPS, NBRC-CPFT, NBRC-RPFT, NBRC-SDS, AEC, ACLS
