About the role
- Assessment and treatment in diagnosing and treatment planning for On Demand Tele-Mental Health
- Assist patients and families in adjusting to a child’s diagnosis and treatment plan
- Conduct psychological assessments identifying diagnosis, risk factors, strengths, coping styles
- Provide brief intervention therapy and psychosocial support across diagnosis, treatment, and bereavement
- Document visits in the EMR in a timely manner
- Coordinate and link families with community resources and agencies (health, crisis intervention, schools, disability)
- Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues and receive supervision from a licensed psychologist
- Respond to needs of culturally diverse and socially, intellectually, or physically challenged patients
- Participate in staff meetings, weekly rounding, pre- and post-rounding as appropriate
Requirements
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health counseling
- Previous experience in hospital or mental healthcare setting preferred
- Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other treatment modalities (training provided)
- Familiarity with psychological treatment of anxiety, depression, behavior disorders
- Ability to conduct psychological assessments identifying diagnosis, risk factors, strengths, coping styles
- Ability to document visits in the EMR in a timely manner
- Coordination and linkage with community resources and agencies
- Ability to provide psychosocial support across diagnosis, treatment, and bereavement
- Skills: active listening, emotional intelligence, organization, empathy, critical thinking, tolerance
