About the role

  • Assessment and treatment in diagnosing and treatment planning for On Demand Tele-Mental Health
  • Assist patients and families in adjusting to a child’s diagnosis and treatment plan
  • Conduct psychological assessments identifying diagnosis, risk factors, strengths, coping styles
  • Provide brief intervention therapy and psychosocial support across diagnosis, treatment, and bereavement
  • Document visits in the EMR in a timely manner
  • Coordinate and link families with community resources and agencies (health, crisis intervention, schools, disability)
  • Consult and collaborate with interdisciplinary colleagues and receive supervision from a licensed psychologist
  • Respond to needs of culturally diverse and socially, intellectually, or physically challenged patients
  • Participate in staff meetings, weekly rounding, pre- and post-rounding as appropriate

Requirements

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work or Mental Health counseling
  • Previous experience in hospital or mental healthcare setting preferred
  • Training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other treatment modalities (training provided)
  • Familiarity with psychological treatment of anxiety, depression, behavior disorders
  • Ability to conduct psychological assessments identifying diagnosis, risk factors, strengths, coping styles
  • Ability to document visits in the EMR in a timely manner
  • Coordination and linkage with community resources and agencies
  • Ability to provide psychosocial support across diagnosis, treatment, and bereavement
