About the role
- Manages the technical approach and decisions as it relates to the configuration of software and infrastructure services on the cloud platform
- Manages cloud infrastructure as code
- Automates deployment and administration
- Develops plan to ensure security of cloud components
- Partners with the DevOps team to spearhead and lead upgrades, enhancements, and software migrations
- Leads projects and teams of cloud engineers who build and support the administration of cloud-based environments
- Establishes and develops code-based CI/CD deployment standards and best-practices
- Leads and directs the implementation of monitoring solutions
- Articulates platform infrastructure best practices
- Mentors and impacts relevant operational and build teams
- Ensures the execution and completion of capacity plans to include cloud-based deployments
- Delivers continuous integration and delivery pipeline and standards
- Facilitates people management and resourcing
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
- 8 - 10 years of related experience in deep functional and Centene specific knowledge
- Experience with Cloud Computing Architecture, Cloud Computing Security, Cloud Engineering, and/or Cloud Infrastructure
- Experience with Amazon Web Services; Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Information Security Network Environments; Network Performance; TCP/IP Networking; Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- Expertise in areas like compute, storage, networking, security, and databases
- Strong grasp of cloud security principles and best practices
- Experience with Automation and Scripting: Writing infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like CloudFormation, Azure Resource Manager, Terraform or Ansible
- Ability to proactively monitor cloud infrastructure for performance and identify and troubleshoot issues efficiently
- Experience with Databricks Platform provisioning
- Deep knowledge of cloud virtualization and compute technologies like AWS EC2 & Lambda, Azure Virtual Machines and Functions, Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, AKS
- Deep knowledge of networking technology
- Experience with Programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, C, C++, C#, Python, Golang
- Experience with Automation languages such as Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, Perl, Bash
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architecture
- Knowledge of Change Management
