Designs and builds relational databases for data storage or processing.
Develops strategies for warehouse implementation, data acquisition and access, and data archiving and recovery.
Builds data models and defines the structure, attributes and nomenclature of data elements.
Evaluates new data sources for adherence to the organization's quality standards and ease of integration.
May also support designs of relational databases for data storage or processing.
Directs and enforces enterprise information standards, guidelines, and principles.
Subject matter expertise regarding solutions information architecture.
Develops and enforces the data architecture standards, working with Business, Application, and Operations counterparts to assure data integrity and consistency.
Develops and maintains documentation that maps data models to information systems and business applications.
Cultivates a group of architects to validate and fix information management issues related to data quality framework (completeness, accuracy, availability, timeliness, consistency, etc.).
Manages data dictionary to improve documentation and coordination.
Leads the building of enterprise architecture information blueprints and data models that illustrate how information is stored, processed, and accessed in the enterprise.
Leads data architecture, data sourcing, data flow, and solution discussions for data initiatives.
Directs the enterprise information architecture discussions around needs and alignment to enterprise goals.
Collaborates on data-related business requirements and perform data architecture reviews.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science)
6 – 8 years of related experience or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position.
Experience with one or more of the following data platforms: Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI or Tableau, SQL Server, Teradata, Oracle, SAS
Experience with one or more of the following skills: Semantic layers (including YAML-based views), SQL, Python, Spark
Experience with one or more of: Healthcare knowledge, AWS technologies, Data catalogs, Metadata, Alation, Manta, Deployment pipelines
Knowledge of streaming and data ingestion tools: Informatica, Talend, Kafka, AWS Glue, Matillion, SSIS
