About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop system architectures for products supporting multidisciplinary use cases
  • Lead cross-disciplinary engineering teams to develop system solutions
  • Use system modeling and artificial intelligence tools to create and document architecture and design solutions
  • Support development of use cases, requirements, and verification and validation protocols
  • Review design documents, interface definitions, and safety-critical control logic
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, and hardware teams to integrate embedded subsystems
  • Troubleshoot system issues throughout development and for field-deployed systems
  • Formulate project execution strategies with project and institutional management
  • Manage one or more subsystems
  • Mentor design engineers and develop systems-level understanding across the engineering organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in engineering or science field
  • At least 10 years of engineering experience
  • Recent emphasis in systems engineering preferred
  • Robotic experience beneficial
  • Skilled at using artificial intelligence tools to accelerate design velocity
  • Model Based Systems Engineering experience desirable
  • Experience leading design teams using architectural design principles
  • Demonstrable track record of proactive change management
  • Comfortable working in a continually developing environment
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
