About the role

  • The Database Analyst executes and improves database projects, migrations, upgrades, and maintenance, driving continuous improvements in performance, security, and availability.
  • Performs performance analysis (troubleshooting) and provides guidance on SQL query tuning.
  • Plans and executes improvement, configuration, and maintenance actions for databases.
  • Develops and maintains data management projects, automating manual processes.
  • Creates, configures, and maintains client databases, ensuring availability and security.
  • Performs data migration, sanitization, and integration between systems.
  • Manages access to platforms and data based on security policies.
  • Identifies faults or bottlenecks and proposes solutions to improve performance.
  • Modifies database structures according to established standards.
  • Performs and restores backups, executes restores, and responds to availability incidents.
  • Meets defined deadlines and SLAs, always in compliance with departmental standards and policies.
  • Records and analyzes activity results, contributing to performance indicators.
  • Documents technical procedures and operational processes.
  • Provides technical support to other IT and Security activities.
  • Participates in institutional projects related or not directly to the data area.

Requirements

  • Basic administration of relational databases.
  • Data modeling, extraction, and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of SQL and the PostgreSQL DBMS.
  • Scripting for automation of routines and database migrations.
  • Execution of backup and restore routines.
  • Handling large volumes of data.
  • Experience with AWS environments (e.g., RDS, DynamoDB).
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts and cloud infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring tools.
  • Basic knowledge of other database technologies (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Understanding of information security principles applied to databases.
