About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Performs manual assembly, operation of automated assembly equipment, hand soldering, operation of automated test equipment, and inspection and repair of products
- Performs machine and line setups, feeder repairs, and first line preventative maintenance
- Works under general supervision and refers situations not covered by processes to expert resources
- May provide functional guidance and demonstrate work methods to new employees
- Engages in exchanges of factual information with supervisors, co-workers, and team members
Requirements
What you’ll need- Must possess specific certifications as defined by site operations
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of board assembly process and product process flow
- In-depth knowledge of product quality, soldering specifications and SMT processing systems
- Ability to set up, operate, calibrate and maintain assembly and hand soldering equipment and tools
- Ability to recognize problems in the assembly process or with assembly components and to address those problems
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety of internal and external customers
- Ability to work effectively with team members and lead the team to high quality production within tight deadlines
- Knowledge of in-circuit and functional test fixturing
- Knowledge of computer applications for accurate task performance in Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, and Documentation control systems
- More advanced manufacturing systems knowledge
