About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Debug Technician 2 is expected to be able to evaluate electronic components (specifically PCBAs in this specific role) and disposition them accordingly.
  • Perform tasks such as, but not limited to, analyzing rejected electronic assemblies using various test equipment, simulators, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose complex problems, define corrective actions, and communicate findings effectively.
  • Identify vendor vs. process defects and write detailed failure analysis reports.
  • Record data of failures and explain diagnoses clearly.
  • Work independently and adapt to varying conditions.
  • Support factory operations on weekends when required.
  • Troubleshoots/debugs at multiple system levels to the PCBA component pin level.
  • Uses oscilloscope, multi-meter, schematics and assembly drawings to troubleshoot.
  • Uses hand tools to disassemble/reassemble systems.
  • Writes up failure analysis findings and inputs directly into the customer’s database.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 1-3 years of related experience, along with RF knowledge
  • Proficiency in operating/setup of electronics equipment (signal generator, modulation/audio analyzers, spectrum analyzer, power meter, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for component-level troubleshooting is recommended.
  • Strong Electronic and Mechanical troubleshooting skills required.
  • Associate's Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology required (Bachelor's preferred).
