Global Commodity Engineering 1 – Sheet Metal, Machining

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the supplier identification and qualification process activities
- Prepares engineering calculation, design change proposal, review customer drawing and technical specs, propose design recommendation
- Analyze supplier quotes and bids
- Part qualification, Tooling qualification
- Participate in driving the supplier quality performance management e.g., DPPM, SQIP etc.
- Document and maintain the records of NPIs (FAI, PPAP documentations)
- Any other activities related to department requirement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, -Mechanical/Mechatronics/Manufacturing/Materials engineering
- 2-3 years of related experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality management and SCM discipline preferred or equivalent of combination of experience
- Strong understanding of engineering and quality tools, including GD&T, DFM, FMEA, and GR&R.
- Hands-on experience with sheet metal and machining processes, as well as a good understanding of secondary processes (e.g., plating, powder coating, anodizing).
- Proficiency in mechanical design software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001/IATF 16949/AS9100 quality management systems.
- Familiarity with project management processes, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Willingness and ability to travel overseas as required by the role.
