About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Optimize and maintain the SMT and backend assembly production process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions
- Conduct process validation and capability studies to ensure manufacturing standards are met
- Provide technical expertise and support to the production team, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and new product introductions
- Analyse production data, identify trends, and recommend strategies to enhance productivity and quality
- Develop and implement process control plans, work instructions, and other documentation to standardize best practices
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators, ensuring alignment with business objectives
- Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
What you’ll need- Degree in Engineering, with a focus on Manufacturing, Industrial, or Production Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead process engineering role, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry
- Expertise in SMT production processes, including reflow soldering, screen printing, and component placement, X-ray, Press fit, AOI.
- Good command in English communication.
- Proficient in the use of data analysis tools and techniques to identify and solve complex problems
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams
