About the role
- Extensively assists and supports Quality Engineers and Process/Manufacturing Engineers by providing production expertise to resolve Quality issues within the production operation.
- Monitors process, component and product quality problems, escalates to supervisor as required, and helps support the investigation.
- Functions as Product Qualification Testing Lead (Quality Specialist) across all accounts (Commercial and Aerospace).
- Primary point of contact for all production quality issues on NPI product launches collaborating closely with other NPI teams.
- Supports and verifies the identification and processing of internal non-conforming materials for proper disposition through MRB.
- Ensures that the implemented changes and corrective action to rectify non-conformance issues are respected in the manufacturing line.
- Actively participating in root cause analysis and solving problems.
- Performs First Article Assessment activities.
- Supports internal, industry and customer audits as required.
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes.
- Drives Purge process (Quarantine, Assessment, Inspection, Closure).
Requirements
- 3 - 6 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of quality and manufacturing standards (AS9100, ISO9001, ESD, Space Addendum, SPOC, J-STD-001 etc).
- Strong knowledge of computer applications and the ability to perform tasks using Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Enterprise Suite, PowerBI, AI Tools.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of shop floor control and quality management documentation systems such as Spectrum Pro, EtQ.
- Skills for evaluating, gathering data, diagnosing and solving problems encountered in the manufacturing.
