About the role

  • Develop new electrical systems/circuits for various applications
  • Research system ideas and draw up plans for these systems
  • Capture them in schematics and system specifications
  • Test, simulate, validate and qualify their systems
  • Provide support throughout the manufacturing of the electrical systems designed
  • Work in cross functional teams with other designers, customers, manufacturing engineering and project leadership
  • Enhance designs with feedback from reviews in areas such as manufacturing, test, supply chain, reliability, industrial design and simulations

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years as a power engineer
  • Deep knowledge of DC/DC power topologies and tradeoffs
  • Experienced in designing power systems for networking, compute, or storage products
  • Experienced in high current, high-phase count designs for ASICs and GPUs
  • Experienced in PCB stack-up, power planes, and tools used to simulate voltage gradients
  • Familiarity with schematic capture and CAD layout tools
  • Proficient with circuit simulation tools such as PSPICE and LTSPICE
  • Knowledge of high-density power modules and Vertical Power Delivery
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to present to various audiences effectively
