About the role
- Lead the end-to-end development of Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects from initial selection through contract award
- Own the development plan, schedule, and deliverables while coordinating with a cross-functional team
- Serve as a client-facing leader to drive alignment on scope, savings, pricing, and contract terms
- Maintain risk, issues, and action logs; communicate status to leadership and the client
- Work with the engineering team for site discovery, data requests, and stakeholder interviews
- Develop financial proformas and deal structures ensuring projects meet ROI targets and performance guarantees
- Lead the preparation of the final deliverables/proposals and coordinate internal reviews
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field
- 5+ years of experience in Energy Service Performance Contracting (ESPC) or complex design-build projects
- Experience leading pursuits from selection to contract award
- Technical understanding of HVAC, mechanical/electrical systems, boilers, chillers, building envelope, and energy simulation software
- Professional Engineer (PE), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), and/or Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CVMP) designation preferred
- Exceptional technical writing and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders
