General Counsel

• CEG is seeking an in-house attorney to serve as a practical legal resource to the business.
• Owning contract intake, legal review, redlines, internal alignment, approvals, and signature.
• Leading negotiations and driving execution across our portfolio, including prime contracts, subcontracts, vendor agreements, and proposal/RFP terms.
• Providing general business legal support across the company (day-to-day legal guidance, issue-spotting, and coordination with outside counsel as appropriate).
• Review third-party contracts, including prime agreements, RFPs/solicitation terms, subcontracts, purchase orders, professional services agreements, consulting agreements, and change order/amendments.
• Identify and clearly communicate legal, financial, schedule, and operational risks.
• Propose specific, actionable redlines aligned to CEG’s risk framework.
• Coordinate internal reviews and approvals (project team, operations, finance, risk/insurance, leadership, and outside counsel when needed).
• Ensure all approved redlines are correctly reflected in the final execution copies and attachments/exhibits.
• Support subcontract negotiations and ensure subcontract and vendor agreements appropriately flow down applicable prime contract obligations and protections.
• Support proposal/RFP responses by reviewing T&Cs, developing exceptions/clarifications, and aligning commercial positions with pricing, schedule, and delivery assumptions.
• Provide day-to-day legal support and contract compliance management on broader business matters, as needed (e.g., corporate governance, employment-related issues spotting in partnership with HR, vendor disputes, compliance/ethics questions, etc.).

Corporate Counsel – Contracts Negotiation and Administration

General

• Identify innovative energy infrastructure upgrades through site audits, data analysis, and engineered drawing reviews.
• Determine cost-effectiveness of identified energy efficiency measures through rigorous savings calculations and evaluation of available financial incentives.
• Develop concept designs and narratives detailing energy systems upgrades to support scope communication, collaboration, and pricing.
• Assess energy conservation measurement viability through constructability analysis and coordination with trade contractors.
• Support internal and external technical communication with team members, clients, third-party consultants, subcontractors, and utility providers.

Associate, Project Development – Energy Sustainability

Manager

• Lead Quality Control (QC) efforts for construction and energy retrofit projects
• Develop, implement, and manage project-specific Quality Control Plans
• Conduct daily site inspections to verify compliance with project specifications, codes, and safety standards
• Oversee and coordinate Energy Conservation Measures (ECMs) installation and performance
• Schedule and manage field testing, QA/QC inspections, and third-party evaluations
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, QC logs, and inspection summaries
• Monitor material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved submittals and specifications
• Collaborate with field teams and subcontractors to enforce quality standards and resolve field issues
• Review submittals and assist in material approval processes as needed
• Ensure all construction work and materials meet or exceed contract and regulatory requirements
• Support client communication and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction

Consulting Engineering Lead

Engineer

• Serve as the primary technical authority on energy modeling, ECM calculations, and energy analysis across the firm's project portfolio
• Refine the standards, methodologies, and tools used by the energy engineering team — from data collection through post-processing and deliverable production
• Partner with the Executive Team on the long-term direction of the discipline
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of energy modeling approaches, tools, and calculation methodologies
• Develop advanced techniques for modeling equipment performance curves, part-load characteristics, and system operating parameters to improve both accuracy and defensibility
• Identify gaps in current modeling practice and create new methods, spreadsheets, simulation approaches, or analytical frameworks to close them
• Stay current on emerging modeling platforms, simulation methods, and industry best practices — and translate relevant advances into practical improvements at CEG
• Serve as CEG's internal thought leader on Energy Conservation Measure identification and development — bringing creativity, rigor, and market awareness to the front end of project development
• Guide the team in identifying high-value ECM opportunities and developing technically sound, financially compelling, and constructable approaches
• Bring cross-project perspective to ECM strategy, sharing insights and patterns across facility types, systems, and client contexts
• Oversee the integration of AI tools, automation, and technology-enabled workflows into the energy engineering practice
• Identify high-value opportunities to apply AI and automation — from data extraction and model development to QA/QC review
• Champion a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the discipline and companywide
• Provide direct mentorship and technical guidance to energy engineers at all experience levels — actively developing their modeling skills, engineering judgment, and professional capabilities
• Identify the staffing needs and capability gaps within the energy engineering team, and work with leadership to define hiring priorities and candidate profiles
• Build a team development roadmap that prepares emerging engineers to grow into the next tier of technical and project leadership over time
• Foster a high-performance, collaborative team culture grounded in intellectual curiosity, rigor, and continuous learning
• Help design and maintain training resources and a standard playbook that enable new engineers to get up to speed quickly within CEG's approach, tools, and project delivery model
• Develop reference materials, worked examples, and mentoring frameworks that accelerate productivity for engineers at all experience levels
• Ensure team knowledge is captured, codified, and accessible — so CEG's capabilities grow with the team rather than residing in individuals
• Develop and implement standardized procedures governing the full modeling lifecycle: data collection, model development, data and assumptions documentation, results post-processing, and QA/QC review
• Provide QA/QC oversight across active projects, ensuring modeling work meets CEG's standards for accuracy, rigor, and consistency
• Build repeatable, scalable workflows that improve speed and quality across the team — reducing variability and elevating the baseline of every project
